John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.“
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.“
Below are our core beliefs as Evangelical Christians in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church:
- The Bible alone, being God-breathed, is the Word of God Written, infallible in all that it teaches, and inerrant in the original manuscripts.
- That there is one Goid, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- In the Deity of the Lord Jesus christ, in His Virgin Birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through the shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
- That for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
- In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
- In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; that those who are saved are resurrected unto life (with God forever in heaven) and that those who are lost are resurrected unto judgement (apart from God forever in hell).
- In the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ (eternal family).
Our foundational doctrinal statements are found in The Standards of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, which we hold to be “the system of doctrine which is built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone” (Associate Reformed Synod, May 31, 1799).
