Malachi 3:10 “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test Me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.“
2 Corinthians 9:7 “Each one should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.“
When we mention giving, in a church context, we are referring to the total stewardship of resources God has blessed and entrusted to us. Therefore, stewardship involves the giving of our time, talents, and tithe (money), to carry out the ministry of the church. There are ways to give of your time and talents through the church such as; music ministry, childcare, children’s church, Youth ministry, Women of the Church, local outreach, teaching, missions, etc. In regards to money, giving the tithe (one tenth) of our income is the biblical teaching and practice of God’s people, especially from the Old Testament. Everyone can give a tithe, as the Lord asks, based on your income and what you decide in your heart. Some give more than a tithe (referred to as an offering) and others have the spiritual gift of giving and give sacrificially to God regularly. The point is, to give cheerfully, whatever we give remembering that we only have our resources of time, talents and finances because of God’s blessing to us!
Our church desires to help our individuals and families navigate through this life, especially in difficult times like we have had with the COVID pandemic, to fulfill their obligations and desires to glorify God! It is with that thought in mind that we have set up this method of “online” giving for those who would like to take advantage of it.
