“Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave – just as the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.“
Pastor
Our pastor is J. Mark McClamrock. Mark has been a pastor in the ARP Church since 1991. He and his wife, Susan, have six children. Mark began his work here as the stated supply in February of 2008. The church later called him to be its pastor, which he accepted, at the end of August, 2008. He was born and raised in Concord and graduated from Concord High School in 1978. His parents were Fleet and “Deta” McClamrock. He has one brother, Fleet Lee McClamrock. Mark graduated in 1986 with a B.A. degree from Columbia Bible College & Seminary (now Columbia International University) in Columbia, South Carolina. He continued his education there and received a Master of Divinity in 1991. In 2012, Mark completed a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. He is licensed in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (License #10119) and is seeking to help meet needs in the community. Mark has served as an associate pastor and pastored two churches in the ARP before coming to Concord. It is not often that God would bring a pastor back to his own home town to lead a church – but in His providence He has in this situation. Together we continue to ask God’s blessing – that what has begun with great joy will continue to grow sweeter in our work for the Lord!
